A brief letter to all current and potential factory support riders:

First off, I want to personally thank those riders who genuinely make an effort to perform their responsibilities as supported riders and continue to help Clarke Manufacturing continue to be the world leader in after market plastic fuel tanks.

Due to the OVERWHELMING number of resumes received this year and increased costs for producing tanks as well as shipping fees etc. Clarke Manufacturing has been forced to be precise as well as more conservative with rider support for 2009.

We are looking for not just great riders, but riders who can promote Clarke Manufacturing and it's products.

Supported riders receiving free product are expected to do more than just run our product and place stickers on their machines. We like to be able to see what the riders are doing to help promote the Clarke brand. The point of sponsoring riders is not just to provide free or discounted merchandise, but to increase sales and exposure of the Clarke brand through riders who are enthusiastic about the products they choose to put on their bikes.

ALL riders are encouraged to read their contracts carefully and adhere to the TERMS therein. Specifically, sending in monthly race results, sending in 2 photos a year, etc. We will no longer continue to support those riders who feel that contacting us at the beginning of each year for free or discounted product but not honoring their part of the contracted agreement is sufficiently fulfilling the terms of a rider support contract. The riders that do their part to promote us, keep in contact, and perform the duties outlined in the terms of the contract are generally rewarded with continued or upgraded support for the following year.
